The wait is finally over! After an agonising post-season 2 silence and the drop of a tantalising teaser trailer a year ago, Netflix has finally unveiled the first look at season 3 of the horny coming-of-age comedy Sex Education along with its official release date.

Dressed in dull grey blazers and knee-length plaid skirts, the images of the beloved cast hold the promise of raucous laughter-inducing jokes and plenty of drama from the first glance. With a charming storyline, which sees Asa Butterfield’s character Otis navigating the complications of casual sex and a pregnant mother (queen Gillian Anderson) as the rest of the cast find themselves embroiled in relationship woes, Netflix offers a hint at what the show’s devoted followers can expect from the highly-anticipated 8-part season. And, with non-binary student Cal (played by IRL musician Dua Saleh) and new headteacher Hope (played by Girls‘ Jemima Kirke) also set to join the mix, the plot is set to be the most exciting one yet.

Block out September 17th in diaries pronto, as it’s set to be the television highlight of the year…
