Calling upon historical landmarks, renowned singers and scenes of Mediterranean splendour, Bvlgari offers an ode to the opera with its Magnifica high jewellery show.

Situated amongst the rustic stone walls of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, grandeur spills out of every crevice of the set and the history of Italian opera sets an opulent tone as Andrea Bocelli ushers in the show with a haunting rendition of Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy / Inno alla Gioia”. Dramatics ensue as the likes of Lily Aldridge, Vittoria Ceretti and He Cong float through Romeo and Juliet-esque balcony’s and towering carved halls whilst dressed in regal medallion yellow gowns and basking in the warm glow of the artificial Roman sun.

And, while the scenes from the show were captivating enough, we cannot forget the exquisite jewellery. Glimmering gemstone jewels and exposed cabochon emeralds and diamonds meet cool silver tones as the multi-millionaire creations caress the model’s necks effortlessly. The Imperial Spinel necklace, which dons the fourth largest spinel known in the world, and the Mediterranean Queen necklace adorned with oval cushion-cut Paraiba tourmalines take centre stage in the Tommaso Ottomano-filmed show as the priceless accessories showcase the bold extravagance and unparalleled lavishness associated with the brand’s high jewels.
