On the ‘gram this week, it was all about celebrating. From big wins at the BAFTAs to birthdays galore, celebs turned to their beloved stylists and favourite brands in a bid to bless us with some outstanding looks. From Michaela Coel dressed to the nines in Maximilian on the red carpet to Emily Ratajkowski and Normani celebrating their birthdays in style, take a look below to see our favourite looks from the week…
LOOKS OF THE WEEK
Sizzling latex displays, Versace beachwear and BAFTA ‘fits: Chloe Bailey, Emily Ratajkowski and Michaela Coel set the TL on fire in the week’s fashion round-up.
Emily Ratajkowski was the ultimate Versace beach babe
Opening up this week’s round-up in a summery display is model Emily Ratajkowski. While the beachy Versace Spring/Summer 2021 collection has been a firm celebrity favourite this year, no one has managed to embody the collection quite like the new mother in her latest pic. Donning the crystal-encrusted mermaid bra and flowing sunset-coloured skirt, the model enjoyed her birthday in effortless style.
No one does a LBD quite like Beyoncé
What is a Looks of the Week round-up without a feature from the queen herself? Dropping one of her signature IG photo dumps last week, Beyoncé reminded her followers that she can rock an LBD like no one else. The strapless latex number was the perfect mix of statement and simple as the star accessorised with chunky flat top frames and an embellished cardigan.
Chloe Bailey set the ‘gram on fire with her orange latex display
While Chloe Bailey has been making it known that she’s a frontrunner in the fashion game for a hot minute, the young star may have just dropped one of her best looks to date. Donning a truly sizzling two-piece, the look incorporated an exposed thong detail, cropped jacket and ruched asymmetrical skirt, all crafted out of a striking orange latex. And, for what the outfit lacked in practicality it made up for in its attention-grabbing nature.
Michaela Coel and Maximilian put on an award-winning display at the BAFTAs
While most of the BAFTA chatter from last night’s awards has surrounded Michaela Coel’s big win with her outstanding work on I May Destroy You, attention also needs to be shed on her dazzling outfit choice for the red carpet. Turning to the London-based fashion designer Maximilian, the actress wore a floor-sweeping black gown with a cut-out back that featured a bust of colour in the form of an extended red cuff on the sleeves. Outstandingly elegant and chic, the dress was easily the best look from the night.
Mesh was best for Normani on her birthday
Celebrating her birthday in style this week was Normani. Donning a barely-there sheer dress made up of complimentary stone and brown hues that featured curved abstract lines, the singer showed off her summer bod as she turned 25.
Josh O’Connor pulled from Harry Styles’ wardrobe
Another standout look from last night’s BAFTAs came courtesy of The Crown‘s Josh O’Connor. Dressed in Harry Styles’ go-to get up, the actor sported an argyle pattered sweater vest accompanied by a white shirt and exaggerated wide-leg pants. And as for why his ‘fit shares so many similarities with classic looks from the “Golden” singer, the pair share a stylist in the form of Harry Lambert.
Hunter Schafer gave Little Red Riding Hood a makeover
We can always trust Hunter Schafer to turn the ‘gram into her catwalk, and this week’s look did exactly that. In an exceptionally quirky and yet stylish display, the Euphoria actress sported a red ensemble that featured a red mini skirt with a cut hem and a halter neck top that extended into a mini hood. Hunter really said “Little Red Riding hood but sexy” for her latest look!
Roddy Ricch teased new music in boho-chic style
Ever since Roddy Ricch dropped “The Box” and its accompanying album, fans and music lovers alike have been awaiting his next musical project. And whilst taking to the ‘gram to tease his new single “Late At Night” the rapper and singer also took the opportunity to showcase a new aesthetic. Dressed in slim leather pants and a tunic-esque cardigan with a woven black and white trim, the singer teased a new era and we cannot wait to see the boho-chic looks that are set to follow this one.
Tom Holland was pretty in pink
Concluding this week’s fashion round-up is everyone’s favourite heartthrob Tom Holland. While his outfit may have only consisted of a casual jeans and blushed pink t-shirt combo with a fisherman beanie, he oozed celebrity style in an effortlessly cute manner.
