It’s been a long time coming, but summer has finally arrived and we’re living our best lives. With things opening again and COVID slowly becoming a distant memory, we’re venturing out this summer, and making up for last year at the same time. But with there being so many options on TikTok rn, it’s hard to fit everything in for the next three months so we’ve put together some of the things you must fit into your diary. So keep on scrolling and bust out that summer 2021 bucket list.

Rollerskating

If we’re going to be real, we don’t know where this trend popped up from, but either way we are here for it. Seemingly taking over the app in the past few months, rollerskating has become a huge trend, with just about everyone and their nan digging out their old inline skates from the noughties or signing up on the waitlist on Skatehut. Championing this trend, TikTok has taken rollerskating to new heights in recent months, with various communities popping up all over the world, the most famous being those who head down to the 02 on a scorching hot day.

Emirates Cable Cars

The TikTok community knows how to create a trend, and this one has exploded. If you’re from London you would have heard of the Emirates Cable Car rides in Greenwich a long time ago, but during lockdown, this has exploded as it was the go-to thing to do when everything was closed. Crossing over the River Thames between Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks, the cable cars give you a stunning view of the London skyline, and with it being priced at £4 can you really complain?

Plantasia – Mort Garson

If you managed to get a ticket to this then we are eternally jealous, because the TikTok community sold this out in a matter of hours. Taking place at the Tate Gallery in London, famous artist Yayoi Kusama is giving you the chance to experience two of her immersive Infinity Mirror Rooms. The rooms which create the illusion of a boundless universe of rotating crystal chandeliers is the perfect place for IG-ready selfies.

Skuna Boats

While we might not be able to go to Venice right now and catch a gondola, we can definitely make our way down to the River Thames and relax in a boat-turned-hut-tub or portable BBQ. Located in Canary Wharf, the experience allows you and nine friends to sail down the River Thames and enjoy your very own BBQ with champagne on deck. Now the only problem we’re having with this is finding nine friends free on the same day.

OTHERWORLD

Ever played a video game and thought “Damn, this is a world I can live in”. Well, at OTHERWORLD you can transport yourself into a virtual reality. Down a back-street in Haggerton, East London you can find OTHERWORLD – an entertainment concept that is sure to blow your mind. Taking you to an island, the experience allows you and your friends to see and hear each other in a VR experience that is sure to trip you out. Did we mention cocktails are also on deck there too?

Hitchin Lavender Fields

We don’t know about you, but that last Bank Holiday left us scrounging for pennies, so anything on the cheap we are down for, and this day trip to Hitchin is right up our street. Located just outside of London, is a huge Lavender field that’ll have you feeling like you are in the south of France. So bring a picnic along and enjoy the endless fields of lavender and sunflowers.

Selfie Factory

Inspired by TikTok itself, this factory is every influencer’s dream. Filled with unique interactive environments, including a pink Lamborghini, prison room, and of course, a pink bath filled with bubbles, this place allows you to take the most Instagrammable pictures for 60 minutes. With changing rooms available you’re able to switch up your looks and take as many pictures as possible for the ‘gram.
