It’s hard to believe that we’re almost halfway through the year, with June fast approaching. With life going at 100mph, sometimes it’s needed to slow things down slightly and take a breath, and Casper Caan is doing just that on his new stirring single, “Last Chance”. Gracefully entering the pulsating soundscape with deep moving basslines, the singer quickly erupts into a distorted piano melody accompanied by crooning heartfelt vocals and soothing echoss. Bursting with bright synths and lead by a boisterous production on the second half of the single, the NYC-native proudly showcases his experimentation skills on the track as he tinkers with various hypnotic sounds and reverbs.

Collaborating with renowned animator Kosuke Sugimoto for the striking accompanying video, the artist invites us into his own fantasy where heads are replaced with wandering thoughts and wild escape plans.

Serving as the first taster from his upcoming EP, the single is the perfect introduction to Caan’s oeuvre as he further ventures into his own genre-blurring sound. With no set release date for the forthcoming project, we’ll be sure to keep a close eye on Caan in the coming months.
