Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan put on a steamy show

The MTV Awards is known for its shock factor, but one thing we didn’t expect was Rollacoaster star Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan’s steamy kiss. Taking to the stage to present the award for Best Kiss, the He’s All That duo, were about to present the award, until they decided to take part in a hefty make out sesh. Okay, it’s not like these two are complete strangers, as they are co-stars in the upcoming 1999 remake, but kiss did shock a lot of viewers with Twitter going into overdrive.

Scarlett Johansson got slimed

In case you didn’t know, Scarlett Johansson is the real MVP. From her iconic performance of Black Widow to THAT dance scene from Marriage Story, the actor has become a household name over the years, so it’s only right she gets blessed with the Generation Award for her contributions to film. Taking to the award show by Zoom, the actor gave a big speech on her decade-long career, and while it was a serious moment, Johansson’s husband Colin Jost decided to include a playful prank and dumped some green slime over the star.

WandaVision took home the big awards

We’ve binged watched a lot this year, but if there is one show that really had us gripped to the TV every Friday it was Marvel’s WandaVision. Picking up four Golden Popcorns throughout the night, the Disney show took home Best Show, Best Performance In A Show, Best Villain and Best Fight. Taking to the stage at various points in the night Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn served up some serious bestie goals and we want in on their friendship.

To All The Boys melted our hearts one last time

With the final film airing earlier this year, we’re still in a funk over how we said goodbye to Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky. But luckily, MTV gave us one last time to say goodbye by crowning the third film with Best Movie. Taking to the stage with the film’s star Lana Condor, author Jenny Han thanked all the fans for supporting the books and Netflix films, and asked that we “keep showing love for the Asian-American community.”
