So far, the likes of Brandy and Lily James have slid into Cinderella’s famous glass slippers, and now Wonderland cover star Camila Cabello is next up. Dropping the first look images today, Amazon Prime Video are teasing the upcoming musical movie starring Cabello and Nicholas Galitzine, which is set for release this September.

Written and directed by Pitch Perfect’s Kay Cannon, the film will feature an ensemble cast with the iconic Idina Menzel, Billy Porter, James Corden and John Mulaney all due to make an appearance in the film. Adding a twist to the legendary fairy tale, the film will feature pop songs from contemporary global artists and original songs by Cabello and Menzel. Stepping into the role of the Fab G (Fairy Godmother) will be Pose star Billy Porter, as he will be aiding the young woman on her journey to discover the world.

With the Head of Amazon Studios teasing that this film will be told with an “empowering perspective”, fans have been stanning a reboot that won’t see a blonde, white actress taking the helm.
