Making it clear that the Tokyo 2020 Games will be no different is Ben Sherman as it unveils its partnership with Team GB in the form of a collaborative clothing capsule.

Recruiting some of Team GB’s standout athletes such as Galal Yafai and Morgan Lake for the campaign, the British brand has brought together sporty sensibilities and its own sleek style in a display of fashion-meets-sports perfection, all of which has been captured by the decorated photographer Rankin. As an ode to the team’s colours, the capsule is laced with an array of red, white and blue garments, all donning sporty silhouettes and made from sustainable and organic cotton. And, with all of the proceeds from the collab going to the team and the British Olympic Association, shopping the collection allows sports fans and fashion lovers alike the chance to support their favourite sporting stars ahead of the event.

“It’s a real honour to be tasked with designing Ben Sherman lifestyle collections for Team GB,” states the brand’s creative director Mark Williams. “We tapped into the brand’s heritage, authenticity and aesthetic excellence to inspire the same athletes who inspire us with their dedication and sportsmanship. The design elements hold true to the spirit of the Olympics and Great Britain. This has been a long time coming, and it’s exciting to finally share the retail capsule collection. It was incredible to work with Team GB and Rankin on this project, and we look forward to sharing details about the official Opening and Closing Ceremony uniforms in the coming months. Working with Rankin to document the spirit of the retail and official athlete collections was another incredible moment in the process; he captured fantastic portraits and short films that we can’t wait to share.”
