Hot off the heels of her jaw-dropping performance at The 2021 Brit Awards, where she rightfully snagged the award for Breakthrough Artist, we’ve teamed up with the legendarily wistful rising star Arlo Parks and director Tom Dream to bring you Dream Analysis, a series that focuses on the life of artists in a post-lockdown world.

Joining the likes of Celeste and Art School Girlfriend, Parks delves into the effect self-isolation has had on their emotional wellbeing and their creative process, how those things intersect, her dreams for the future, and plenty more – including, in her own words, “writing in the eye of the storm… when everything is immediate.”

Dream and Parks have previously worked together on the former’s short film ‘Shy Radicals’, with Parks recording their own version of Radiohead’s “Creep” for the occasion.

“A lot of the work I do is based on empathy…on one hand I write songs that are processing my own feeling and the feelings of the people around me, but there’s always the hope that it connects beyond that inner circle,” shares Parks in the project, “and people all over the world of different ages, different backgrounds will be able to connect with it and feel supported by my music.”

As for Parks’ thoughts on lockdown itself? “Hopefully, some great art will come out of it…”
