If you are anything like us, you have been dreaming of the Drake candles since they were released back in December. The candles, which came in five different scents, sent fans into a meltdown – particularly Carby Musk which supposedly smells like the “God’s Plan” rapper. Well, continuing with his venture into the scent business, Drake took to Instagram last night to unveil his latest project – a line of fragrances.

After dropping a short video yesterday of a rotating navy blue orb with the caption “@betterworldfragrancehouse first scent series releasing May 9th”, fans were quick to remember that Better World Fragrance House is Drake’s brand from which he released the candles last year. And, after a quick scroll through the company’s Instagram, we were offered the confirmation that the set of fragrances will come in the same scents as the rapper’s candles. The infamous Drake smell, which is said to offer “notes of Musk, Ambers, Cashmere, Suede, and Velvet”, will join Williamsburg Sleepover⁠, Sweeter Tings, Good Thoughts⁠ and Muskoka in the lineup of perfumes available to shop later this week.

This news gets all the most exciting, especially if you live in New York or L.A. On the same weekend as the fragrance launch, which also coincides with American Mother’s Day, Drake is giving fans a chance to get their hands on his sold-out candles. All it takes is a minimum of a $50 Postmates order from one of Drake’s favourite restaurants and fans will receive one of four candles from the line – we guess Drake wasn’t kidding when he said he loves his mum.

With his highly-anticipated album Certified Lover Boy set for release soon and the surprise announcement of a string of scent-based projects coming out this week it is clear that Drake is going to be putting in the work this year. But, at least he is going to smell damn good while doing it.
