Redefining the world of Latin-pop one track at a time, Amber Donoso is coming in hot and heavy with her latest chilled offering – “Candela”. The emerging starlet has been hard at work over the past few years, bouncing between the US, UK and Chile to figure out not only where her sound was heading, but also what she wanted to say with her new offerings.

“I’d say ‘Candela’ is a perfect representation of my Latin roots,” Amber reveals of her latest track “Every part of this track is infused with the passion and sexiness of the Latino culture.” Inspired by the likes of Bad Bunny, Selena, Natti Natasha and even Wonderland cover star Gwen Stefani, Donoso wanted to pen a hit from a specifically female perspective, taking gender norms and conversations about sex and femininity into her own hands.

And over a bilingual blend of sweet reggaeton, soulful R&B and straight-up pop, what the hell could go wrong? We’ve got slow-burning passion by the boatload, Donoso’s instantly classic vocals are hitting different, there’s even an electric dembow beat that’s got us swaying our hips just seconds into our first listen. If “Candela” is anything to go by, Donoso’s plans for the rest of the year suggest we’re certainly in for a treat, maybe even several.
