Looking for an addition to your summer playlist? We have just the thing. Acting as the debut offering from singer and producer Desduné, “Work It Out” is a sun-soaked track that embodies the vibrant sounds of summer. While the lyrics “don’t want to work it out, let me show you now” ring throughout the chorus, we are offered a lust-filled monologue from the singer as a thumping beat acts as a base for his singing and rapping. Twinkling percussion and a masterfully arranged production also contribute to the infectious sounds of the song.

This debut single acts as an introduction to the genre-blurring singer’s upcoming four-part project “clementine”. Set to take us on a journey through his musical inspirations – which he cites as ranging from the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the Notorious B.I.G. – the project holds the promise of an unrestricted exploration of genres and four tracks featuring crossovers and musical fusion galore.

While this may be the singer’s first official debut in the music industry, this is not his first stint as a creative. Having previously worked as a celebrity chef, painter and DJ, the young talent has an impressive resume that proves his potential is endless. And, with the singer’s mother being none other than Golden Globe-winning actress Regina King, it is clear that star quality is embedded in his DNA. So, watch this space, as we are sure Desduné will drop some tunes that you won’t want to miss.
