The Oscars is a night dedicated to highlighting the accomplishments and talents that lie within the film industry, and the 93rd Academy Awards did just that. From Daniel Kaluuya’s first win – and his legendary acceptance speech that will be going into the pop-culture hall of fame – to Chloé Zhao’s history-making win, last night’s awards were a truly celebratory affair. But, while the promise of meme-worthy moments and emotional acceptance speeches always have us excited for the Oscars, it’s safe to say that one of the things we look forward to the most is watching all of our fave actors and actresses grace the pink carpet. Offering celebs dressed to the nines and high-glamour looks, the Academy Awards never fail to provide us with some of the best fashion moments from award show season. Take a look below to see some of our favourite looks from the night…

Zendaya

Law Roach never misses. From the iconic Tom Ford breastplate to Christopher John Rogers gowns, the stylist has singlehandedly assisted in making Zendaya the fashion icon that she is, and last night’s look only confirmed this. In a fluorescent yellow Valentino gown – paired with matching Jimmy Choo platform heels and Bulgari jewels – Zendaya was a vision. Acting as an ode to Cher, the Euphoria actress sported a midriff cutout and goddess-like waves as she took to the carpet – at this point, we’re not even shocked at her turning a look, it is something we expect now.

LaKeith Stanfield

If there was an Oscar for best dressed it would go to LaKeith Stanfield. Repping a custom YSL jumpsuit, the Judas and the Black Messiah actor stole the show with his suave look. Complete with a statement belt featuring a gold fixture and an exaggerated 60s collar, this is a look we won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Margot Robbie, draped in a silver and black floral Chanel gown, embodied elegance last night. The actress completed her look with a sparkling black clutch and dainty silver accessories whilst the gown caressed her body in a truly effortless manner. And, her standout moment? The grown-out lockdown bangs she debuted are giving us some major hair inspo.

Daniel Kaluuya

While Daniel Kaluuya is making headlines for his debut Oscars win, and that hilarious speech that left his mum lost for words, we need to take a moment to appreciate his outfit. A Bottega Veneta suit is an inky-navy hue was the actor’s outfit of choice, accompanied by a sparking Cartier necklace. Congrats Daniel – on the win, the fit, the speech, everything.

Donning an electric purple floor-sweeping jumpsuit, H.E.R turned up to receive her first Oscar in style. Complete with intricate beading, the Peter Dundas ensemble was both hooded and caped all the while paying homage to the late Prince – who sported a very similar look to the 1985 Oscars.

Regina King

Rumoured to collectively boast nearly 66,00 sequins and crystals, Regina King’s Louis Vuitton look was feet of pure craftsmanship. Featuring a scalloped hem and diamond-encrusted butterfly-esque winged shoulder details, the custom powder-blue gown was a thing of pure beauty. Regina King has been turning out the looks this award season and we are so here for it.

Amanda Seyfried

Mank actor Amanda Seyfried had a moment last night. Exuding drama and old-school Hollywood glamour, her hibiscus-inspired Armani gown – which featured a plunging v bust and exaggerated silhouette – was everything and more.

Leslie Odom Jr. looked like a prize on the pink carpet last night – no seriously, he came dressed as an Oscar. Choosing the brand Brioni to accompany him to the Oscars carpet, his double-breasted golden tuxedo was laced with 24-carat gold thread and was a display of tailoring perfection. Leslie Odom Jr. really said, “I am the award” last night and we are in full support of him.

Youn Yuh-Jung having a mini fangirl moment over Brad Pitt was probably one of our favourite moments of the evening. The Minari actress, who took home the award for Best Supporting Actress, gave a shoutout to Pitt during her acceptance speech last night and it was probably the cutest thing we have seen. Taking to the pink carpet for a photo together following the awards, Yuh-Jung was beaming in her navy Marmar Halim gown as Pitt exuded his usual suave energy dressed in a tuxedo and sporting a man bun that has the TL going crazy. Also, is it just us who are living for the idea of a film featuring the two of them?
