PREMIERE: LUH KEL – “F LOVE”

The rising R&B star returns with the anti-love single “F Love”.

Love can be a tricky thing to navigate. With emotions running wild and feeling sometimes not reciprocated, it can either be a wondrous experience or leave you in tears. For rising newcomer Luh Kel it is the latter for his new single “F Love”. Effortlessly riding a slow melodic trap-infused production, the 18-year-old breaks down the end of a relationship due to cheating with emotional hurtful lyricism and impassioned vocals. Leading us in with subtle guitar rhythms, the artist breaks out on the chorus, telling his former lover that love is no longer an option and too much has been done.

While the singer might be one of the newer R&B players to break out on to the scene from St. Louis, he is by no means a rookie to the genre, as he has already collaborated with the likes of Queen Naija, Trippe Redd and hip-hop’s current new favourite Lil Tjay. While the majority of us slowed down the past year with the pandemic putting a spanner in the works, Luh Kel was at full speed ahead with Billboard chart-topping tunes and a collaboration with XXL Freshman Class candidate Polo G. With a sophomore project tucked underneath his belt neatly, we’re expected another riotous year from the R&B star.
