Summer is on the horizon and the newcomer is serving up the tunes with his R&B-infused single.

Returning with another irresistible bop is rising LA-native Porsh Bet$ with “Peanut Butter”. Like the actual spread, the artist glides over the funk-tinged guitar-led rhythm, bouncing over the hip-hop bass line and entering a kaleidoscope of soothing harmonies echoing alt-pop vocals. Revealing his artistic prowess in the single, the artist blurs the lines between both alt-R&B and indie-pop, as he effortlessly puts on an intimate display of immersive melodies and stylistic productions. Breaking the norm of romantic and wistful boy-meets-girl videos, Bet$’s takes us to the slopes in the accompanying video, teaching his love interest how to ski before he ultimately loses her to someone else.

“When I wrote it I was definitely just kinda daydreaming about the most perfect scenario – you know, with a girl and a fancy car on a nice day,” Porsh explains. “Because I’m allergic to peanut butter I really shouldn’t be near it, but it sucks because everyone else loves it! It looks good, but once I get too close, I get nauseous. I think of it like this – sometimes being left out is a good thing.”

Only four tracks into his career and already working with Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj favourite KoOoLkOjAk, the rising singer is already shaping up to be quite the talent.
