Returning with an acoustic version for sultry single “Way That You Keep Me High” is London-hailed singer-songwriter Kim Ven. Gliding across the smooth guitar-led bass lines, the singer wraps herself in a 60s groove and takes us through an enchanting story of lust and how quickly it can become toxic. Staying true to the original single’s narrative, Ven unpacks the story with her honeyed vocals and gives the single a more sensual vibe.

“’Way That You Keep Me High’ is a song about being reckless in the pursuit of a thrill,” explains Kim. “The story is played out by a 20-something who becomes obsessed with chasing a feeling to the point where it becomes toxic.”

Having been in the game since her debut single in 2019, the rising star took a break the scene over the past year, before moving to London and rediscovering her love for music. Spending the past year eagerly writing again, the singer is ready to make her comeback with more releases ready to go in the pipeline.
