Summer is fast approaching and we’re in need of some new tunes to blast through our speakers as we prep ourselves for al fresco brunches and all-day drinking sessions, luckily fast-rising newcomer Eloise Viola is providing the goods with her fun-flecked new single “B.O.D.Y”. Led by a brooding bassline, laced with an undeniable groove, the singer bursts through the production and lights up the single with her rich vocals and bouncy flow. While the single has a feel-good rhythm and vibe to it, the singer revealed that the lyrics were actually penned as she battled with recovery and body image issues.

Going into more detail, the singer revealed, “writing songs about self-love to empower others has always been my way of reminding myself of how far I have come, and how important it is to stay positive. I want people to hear my lyrics and realise how they can apply these lyrics to their own lives; change their thinking to positive mantras of self-love. So when they see images that make them question their self-worth, they say ‘she looks great, but I do too.’ To have the confidence to say, “I’ve had a hard week, what I am going through is tough, but I am tougher!’.

Spending this past year busily alongside Grammy award-nominated producers in the studio, and further developing her jazzy pop sound, the singer is gearing up for a take over later this year.
