When asked about the meaning of the track, Valdez stated it was about “letting yourself act on impulse and just owning the consequences. It’s about wanting to evolve and find excitement without chaos, but knowing it’s okay to mess up and explore your curiosities too.”

Having grown up in Nevada and basing herself in LA, the singer looks to her childhood, such as her experiences as a child violinist that was surrounded by classical music, to inform her work. Blending the genres of indie-rock and pop together, Sam Valdez offers a unique and beautiful sound that is sure to enchant those who hear it.
