Making their entrance known with a hyper-pop retro single is newcomer French Fries and Margarita with “Crimes Against Nature”. Channelling the likes of ARCA and Lady Gaga, the singer – also known as Francesco – creates a warm electronic-tinged soundscape on their debut single, pulling us in with glittering 80s synths and an array of subtle steel pan melodies. Hidden beneath long blonde hair and huge Anna Wintour-worthy shades, the singer performs in front of Donald Trump and Royal Family impersonators in a pink-tinged video that screams empowerment and attitude.

“It’s a legal term from the 19th and 20th centuries used to allege that same-sex activity or any sexual activity that was non-mainstream was a crime against nature, punishable even by death,” the rising star revealed about the single. “That’s still true in many countries. So we use the same term against those people who think like that.”

Hoping to shift people’s mindsets and perceptions to a more opened-minded agenda, the singer is ready to take on various forms of oppression in the world and address it in their genre-bending sound.
