C17 Jeans gear up to launch their SS21 denim collection, a tribute to traditional Japanese workwear.
If you’re a lover of jeans, jorts and/or Britney and Justin’s 2001 quadruple denim ensembles at the AMA’s, you’ll be pleased to know that C17 Jeans are gearing up to showcase an entirely new season of classic denim wares.
“After a year in the works, lots of trial and error and not settling for anything less than the best, it’s finally ready – we are very happy to announce the arrival of our denim collection ready for SS21,” say the brand ahead of their mid-April release. Having spent countless hours deliberating over how to take their designs to the next level, C17 look towards two famed Japanese denim mills – Kahara and Kuroki – to decipher what the future of denim looks like.
These mills are renowned worldwide for producing some of the finest fashions in the world, with Kuroki in particular specialising in a rope-dyed fabric technique that utilises twisted denim threads in order to create a wavy, blue oil-slick effect atop their garments. Pretty stunning right? We have it on good authority that the indigo dye never even sets properly, so with each wash your jeans create subtly striking shaded patterns – making them the most personal pair you’ll ever own. Unless you rhinestone the back pockets with your name or something…
Our point is, C17 are leading the pack with their own brand of vivid yet traditional Japanese workwear fits, with loosened silhouettes and mandarin collar’s to boot. They’ll even throw in a limited-edition woven patch for you to adorn your garms with, however you see fit. We’re sold!
