It is finally here. The Alexa Demie and Petra Collins collab we have all been waiting for has finally been unveiled. Fairy Tales is a collection of short stories written and conceptualised in a collaboration between the photographer and Euphoria star and will act as an ode to their childhood fascination with fairy tales, which offered an escape from their own painful realities. There are set to be nine tales in which Alexa will embody nine characters, with suburban homes and fantasy sets used as backdrops.

From elves, mermaids and water sprites to fallen angels and fairies, we have been promised that an array of creatures and mythical characters will feature in this erotic folklore collection. Harking on the aesthetics of Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson, the new imagery will combine “elements of camp, prosthetics, and shibari” in a bid to give classic fairytales a sexy and modern update.

With former Wonderland cover star Alexa being known for her uber-sexy aesthetic and Petra having set the stylistic tone for the 2010s with her photography, this promises to be an iconic project that you won’t want to miss. The book is now available for pre-order here and is set to be published in October.
