Brixton, considered a cultural hub in London, is about to play host to a new talent competition. Brixton Voices is the talent initiative launching with a mission to scout out some of South London’s freshest musical talent.
This brand new competition comes from BRXTN Studios, a state-of-the-art recording studio nestled in the heart of Brixton Village. With the determination to encourage local innovation and rejoice in the historical diversity and creativity the area has to offer, the studio’s creative team hunting for aspiring musicians is headed up by Brixton-resident Karl Lokko. With this opportunity open to anyone over the age of 16 and living in Lambeth, auditions are being held virtually with hopefuls being asked to send in digital audio or voice files for review.
The competition will come to a head when the 20 finalists will be invited to complete a live Instagram-streamed audition with none other than Harry Pinero hosting the event. The prize up for grabs is 50 hours of free and undisturbed studio time as well as invaluable advice from industry creatives.
This latest Brixton-born initiative is a wholesome and exciting display of the sheer volume of talent that London has to offer. For further information and competition criteria, head to https://brxtnstudios.com/
