Happy first week of daylight past 7:30pm everyone! Spring has finally sprung (we think?!) and we’re all the better for it. You might not feel it, but once it’s BBQ and drinks in the park season, we will be downing tinny after tinny in the grass without a care in the world. Having relied on fashion as an escape for most of our lives, it’s only fitting that we let it rescue us from all that lockdown-induced boredom we’ve been drowning in too, right? Without further ado, let us introduce the style icons who’ve been serving IT this week…

Bree Runway is a straight-up Savage (x Fenty)

Gonna need a moment (or several) to take in the beauty of Bree Runway’s Savage x Fenty fit. Who else is pairing lacy lingerie with studded Chanel earrings and a couple of chunky chain belts? She’s really out here putting the ador(e) in ambassador huh!

Happy Birthday Future Nostalgia

Can you believe it’s been a year since Dua dropped one of 2020’s most insane, chart-topping albums? We bloody can’t. The era has positioned Lipa as not only a total superstar, but also a club remix hero, insanely improved dancer and a total fashionista, which this rhinestone embellished Area skirt and Paco Rabanne shirt from the album’s Hugo Comte shoot clearly evidence.

Move over Tulisa, no one is doing LBDs like Alicia Keys. The Rollacoaster star got all glammed up in a sleek Versace number for the NAACP Image Awards last night, taking to Instagram to confess her undying love for sneakers over heels – I wonder where she stands on crocs? Either way, this look is a total winner.

Lil Nas X makes a deal with the devil

Thigh-high stripper pleasers and a pair of CK boxers? It seems Lil Nas X has devilish pole dancing fashion on lock in the video for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” that we’re still not done obsessing over. He celebrated the release of his new track this past weekend by releasing 666 pairs of Nike Air Max 98’s with MSCHF that contain actual real blood, angering conservatives across the US. You better get that promo!

It appears we have another birthday in our midsts, and it’s for none other than Lipa’s “Prisoner” cellmate ms. Miley Cyrus. Well, we say Miley, who we really mean is a blonde-wig wearing icon named Hannah Montana. You can’t have missed the singer’s handwritten notes making their way across the internet this past week, alongside gigantic bouquets bequeathed to the likes of the Jonas Brothers and Emily Osment as she remembers inspiring a generation of wide-eyed Disney watching kids they can be whoever they want to be. This pink-studded belt, satin gloves, ripped tour tee and embroidered jeans combo feels like a punky evolution that would only be natural to such a trendsetting superstar, and we’re digging it HARD.

It’s a nice day for Alton Mason’s white wedding

No words, just MAT coverstar Alton Mason in his Mowalola gunshot tuxedo. If you’ve got a wave of deja vu coming on, you might recognise Naomi Campbell’s in a similar, halterneck gown edition of the design that she donned at one of her Fashion For Relief show’s back in 2019. We’re rating the white tabis too – though we couldn’t trust ourselves not to totally ruin them on their first outing into the world.
