It’s finally bloody here! Yes, Lil Nas X’s latest single “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” has landed in our laps, and not even our wildest dreams could’ve prepared us for the journey we’re about to embark on.

The “Old Town Road” singer kicks off the mythological video in a pastel-hued Garden of Eden, where he plays both as Adam and the snake tempting him to give in to his desires. Though he tries to resist, he eventually leans in for a kiss on the lips that leads to his doom and eventual execution. After facing the judgement of an army of patchwork denim-clad Lil Nas X’s, he ascends to heaven, only to mount the longest stripper pole on earth as his sexual desire takes over, sliding down to hell give the devil a mouthwatering lap dance in a pair of thigh-high stripper heels.

It’s a story of understanding and appreciating his sexuality, with Nas hoping to inspire a generation of queers that it’s ok to embrace our true selves, even if you are a sexy devil-worshipping demon. Such a huge production cements the rapper as a true icon of our times, accompanied by a note on his Twitter where Nas explains his motivations for the cinematic epic.
