As the air gets thicker and the days longer, you can catch us gazing out of the window, head propped up with a hand, dreaming about faraway destinations and a cold bev somewhere warm. And one brand encapsulating these warm vistas in their tidy new SS21 collection is contemporary British menswear brand Wax London with a drop inspired by Italian summers.
The sweeping Capri coastline, stretches of the Italian Riviera and hazy summer days permeate every fibre of the collection, which champions classic vintage Italian style, awash in sun-bleached muted tones. Think Jude Law in The Talented Mr. Ripley. Heavenly.
At the heart of all Wax London pieces is a commitment to sustainability, and this SS21 season is no exception. Lyocell is a mainstay of the collection – a light fabric made from wood pulp harvested from Eucalyptus trees – trees that grow fast, don’t require pesticides and do not contribute to deforestation. Buttons on the collection are crafted from Corozo nuts to ensure no plastic is used. And overshirts are produced by a mill in France dedicated to using green energy, reducing water and recycling fibres.
