Brockhampton have outdone themselves with the release of their latest single “Buzzcut”. While the notoriously quirky ensemble have given us hazy music videos and truly unique tunes since they formed back in 2014, this latest track, and its accompanying music video, is a display of the group’s boundary-pushing creativity.

While the music itself is characteristic of the boyband’s eclectic nature, a feature from rapper Danny Brown offers a fresh voice amongst the synergy of the 13 band members – and the change in tone is noticeable. As most Brockhampton fans will know, visuals are just as prominent and important throughout the band’s work as their music.

Trippy images make for truly disorientating viewing as the band’s distorted bodies stumble through the haze and chaos. Accompanying the psychedelic scenes, directed by Dan Streit, is a collision of bright colours, constantly intertwining. Expect Kevin Abstract strewn across a brown leather sofa, multiple car-driving scenes and WWE-esque brawls, to name a few.

It has been a hot minute since we have had new music from the band and it is fair to say, it was worth the wait.
