As if the tears from Chemtrails Over the Country Club weren’t enough, Lana Del Rey has announced that she will be releasing a follow-up project on June 1 titled Rock Candy Sweet. Taking to IG stories to make the announcement, the singer took shots at a Harper’s Bazaar article titled, Lana Del Rey Can’t Quality Her Way Out Of Being Held Accountable, saying, “Just want to say thank you again for the kind articles like this one and for reminding me that my career was built on cultural appropriation and glamorising domestic abuse, I will continue to challenge those thoughts on my next record June 1 titled Rock Candy Sweet.”
Now we know what you’re thinking, Lana isn’t the most strict with release dates (it took over a year for us to finally get COCC), so we’re not sure how reliable this is. But the news did send the TL into overdrive as the singer could potentially be doing a Taylor Swift and dropping two full albums in one year. Watch this space.
