As week X of lockdown whizzes by, we’ve totally forgot everything that’s just happened. Don’t judge us! It just feels like we’re stuck in a loop. We can assure you there was at least one political scandal of some kind, rumours of an A-list celebrity divorce, good tunes, an attempted cancellation or two, and lots of great fashion – as evidenced by this Chloë Bailey latex fit. Here are the rest of the looks we’ve been digging as we struggle to keep our sanity…
LOOKS OF THE WEEK
Lil Nas X, Ciara and Chloe Bailey are serving overtime in our Instagram Looks of the Week.
Lil Nas X in… nothing?
It’s not hard to stan over everythingLil Nas X does; no one is more committed to their fashions, or in this post’s case, a lack thereof. In this mythical visual for his highly-anticipated new single “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”, which you might’ve already heard the rapper tease in his viral 6ix9ine troll, Nas is an ethereal god, dripping in honey as he’s swarmed by butterflies, spiders and creepy-crawlies alike. We have absolutely no idea what to expect but we can assure you we’re 100% into it. Welcome to Montero, bitches!
Charli XCX returns to the stage for BandsInTown
To quote Michelle Obama (and someone in Charli’s comment section): “Girl you have done it again, constantly raising the bar for us all – and doing it flawlessly. I’d say i’m surprised but I know who you are. I’ve seen it up close and personal. Girl you make me so proud.” This look is absolutely killer, and we just KNOW those puffy gloves would feel like heaven to sleep on…
Tayce is our winner (congrats though, Lawrence!)
If Drag Race UK doesn’t land Tayce a multi-decade spanning modelling career when fashion week starts up again, we’re going to throw hands. As the show’s most overlooked contestant this season (and, if you ask us, the best performer of this entire week’s finale), Tayce has consistently brought beauty, charm and wit to the mainstage in abundance, this fur dripping catsuit of course being no exception.
Rico x Savage x Fenty
Didn’t they tell you that Rico Nasty was a savage? Well, they should’ve done! If you didn’t already know, the Wonderland cover star is a brand ambassador for Rihanna’s legendary underwear line, and donning this technicolour bodysuit I reckon she takes the crown for most groundbreaking florals for spring. What say you?
Emma Chamberlain has knits
When she’s not building a coffee empire or charming her millions and millions of fans with stay at home vlogs, YouTube fashionista Emma Chamberlain has knits. Tons of them. Possibly even a bracelet that says WWWD – what would wool do? We’re very much supporting this stripey ensemble she posted this week, a mix of neon highlighter hues that are akin to Ashley Williams’ AW20 collection.
Everything is peachy keen with the Biebs
Justice is here! Despite a couple of savage reviews, the Biebs is pressing one with the rest of his new era as he teases the video for his Daniel Caeser and Gideon featuring track, “Peaches”. The incredibly dressed-trio appear suited and booted in an array pastel hues, Bieber in a peach suit, Giveon in stoney greys and blues, and Caeser in what looks to be the cosiest, pleated loungewear on earth.
Ciara is taking us to court!
That’s right, the tennis court! The “Goodies” singer picks up the racket in a pair of sleek white technical Prada boots and a lengthy bodysuit. She looks like how we imagine ourselves serving it at the gym, tremendously well-put-together and totally stunning. The scorching red face and sweat pumping out of every orifice reality is very different, but such is life.
