We knew 2021 was going to be full of surprises, but what we didn’t expect is Addison Rae kick-starting a music career. The influencer who calls Kourtney Kardashian and Hailey Bieber BFFs dropped her first ever single “Obsessed” last night, and it’s a bop.

Coming alongside a studio-set music video, the jaunty two-minute single is a tongue-in-cheek salute to self-love and confidence, as she sings in the chorus, “When you say that you’re obsessed with me, me too”. Packed with slick cuts, high fashion ‘fits and of course, TikTok-worthy choreography, the music video sees the influencer-turned-singer draped over a motorbike and rocking her own beauty line, Item Beauty.

While the song has received mixed reviews from fans and the TikTok community, Rae is rumoured to have a forthcoming debut album on the way, featuring the queen of rap, Nicki Minaj. While she is not currently signed to a major label, Rae is set to give us a live performance next week Friday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
