What fashion greatness have our favourite celebs been cooking up this week you ask? We’ve got trypophobic two pieces, knitted tracksuits, vintage silk scarves, Supreme long sleeves, Golden Globes get-ups, Savage x Fenty sets, sequin casts, Chanel belts and a whole lot more… Read on!
LOOKS OF THE WEEK
From awards-season Prada fits to crochet trackies, here’s who’s been tickling our Instagram fashion fancy this week.
Sarah Paulson & Kristen Wiig’s Prada Double-Whammy
2 insane actors. 1 powerhouse designer – and another equally tenacious stylist. The result? Two of the best looks from yesterday’s Golden Globes. Prada rarely, if ever, misses for an awards show moment, so I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised that Kristen Wiig’s sage mini-dress would be anything but stunning, but they’ve even got Sarah Paulson in a cast comprised of lavender sequins. Private healthcare has NEVER looked so appealing…
Trypophobes beware of Olly Alexander
Olly Alexander’s stylist is another taste-maker who’s going to get the biggest smooch from all of us here at Wonderland if they keep it up with these fantastic looks. This week the It’s A Sin star is rocking a crayon-printed fit from Scottish provocateur and club-lover Charles Jeffrey. Pairing the colourful two pieces off with some white platform creepers, the assortment of small black holes is quite literally a trypophobes worst nightmare – but we love it!
Hot Girl Meg dons vintage Versace
The Hottest of Hot Girls is kick-starting a scarf trend we’ll all be hopping on in a few months time. In her latest Instagram photo-dump, Thee Stallion is shaking the table in a palette of and blues taken straight from one of Prince’s wildest fantasies. Think striking nails, shiny tees and a luscious silk accoutrement courtesy of Versace. To whoever commented: “Hotties about to have a ball with them 2 pictures my gawd I can see em in edits now”, you really weren’t wrong.
FKA Twigs has a crochet trackie
Yes, you read that right. Style icon, sword-wielder and music sorceress FKA Twigs has the latest in tracksuit greatness, a dopamiine fit made entirely of 70s crochet patches. You know that person that never goes to bed at a festival, and no matter what time you poke your head of the tent they’re just sat in the communal area on their camping chair smoking a ciggie and contemplating that day’s debauchery? That’s who this trackie was made for.
Kali Uchis serves up a storm in her latest shoot
Wonderland cover star Kali Uchis is like a real life Jessica Rabbit, except the actual Jessica Rabbit would 100% be in her DM’s asking for beauty tips. Sporting a golden Chanel-nameplate belt, a matching studded baker-boy and stiletto combo with the ultimate body-hugging, cut-out dress, Uchis is the poster girl for everything we want to be when we grow up. She could probably (definitely) pull off a trash bag if she wanted to, truly a fashion icon.
Kevin Abstract is showing us what a dressed-down hypebeast looks like
After a calamitous ascent to the big leagues, Brockhampton founder and general gorgeous boy Kevin Abstract has kept a reasonably low-profile in the social media and music world, leaving us to stew on incredible 2019 releases such as ARIZONA BABY and GINGER. We get it, releasing tunes without touring is a total bummer. Fans will instead have to feast on Abstract’s fits, which do not disappoint. This week the rapper keeps it cool in some zip-clad cobalt cargos, a black puffa jacket and classic grey marl Supreme tee – we’ll take it all, please.
Pharrell channels some spiritual vibes – with elephants!
Pledging allegiance to the whacky world of Cactus Plant Flea Market eons ago, you best believe Pharrell will be fitted and greatest from the mysterious streetwear giant. This week’s offering is a spiral tie-dye tee, coupled with a caption encouraging us to indulge life’s spiritual vibes as the musical great tends to two gigantic elephants. We’re at a loss for words to be honest, but we love the tee!
Rihanna drops some new Savage x Fenty sexiness
Having closed her FENTY line at LVMH this past month, Rih is returning to the sexy underwear (a la Savage x Fenty) that got her there in the first place. Yes, there are florals for spring, and yes, it is bloody groundbreaking, okay! Any one have any objections? Didn’t think so…
