We don’t know about you, but we’ve spent this past year binge-watching everything in sight on Netflix and other streaming services, and just when we thought we’ve watched it all, Disney+ comes and drops a staggering 276 films and shows on their new channel Disney Star. Launching today in the UK at no extra cost, TV and film addicts will be able to indulge themselves in classic favourites such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Ugly Betty, while also reliving Donald Clover’s Atlanta and Shona Rhimes’ Scandal.
The list includes everything from classic sitcoms such as Scrubs and Desperate Housewives to Scream Queens and Prison Break. The idea behind the new Star channel is to add more adult-like content that wouldn’t have sat comfortably alongside the family-friendly content already on the streaming service. With Disney owning a huge back catalogue of content thanks to them buying FOX, we can now binge-watch huge blockbuster films and TV shows to our heart’s content. Now all we’re waiting for is for HBO Max to make their UK appearance.
