Can you believe we’re slowly wriggling out of the most depressing winter of all time? Only last week were we basking in the snow from the safety of our driveways, and now this past weekend many took to the park in droves to sun it up on their picnic blankets and charge through as many tinnies as they could – in February! Besides the roadmap out of lockdown and Wolf Alice’s comeback making the future seem brighter by the minute, we surely can’t forget the Instagram fashion’s that have been sustaining us over the past week either. Here’s the best of the best…

Chloe Bailey crosses over with Rick Owens

We’re just as confused – yet eagerly delighted – at this crossover as you are. Seriously. No words. No explanation. It’s basically giving “Like A Virgin” era Madonna if she was an ethereal stripper in space, I mean look at those steel-toed heels! A transparent midi-skirt completes the ensemble, which itself may hint as to what we can expect from Owens’ forthcoming FW21 collection…

Olly Alexander is a denim daddy

The only man we adore just as much as Lil Nas X for his general good vibes and even better fashions is Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander. Waving goodbye to Russell T. Davies’ emotional AIDS drama, It’s A Sin, Alexander is clad in necklaces, bandanas, spikey platformed creepers, and the pièce de résistance, a pair of bleach splattered split hem jeans. We’re not saying we love this fit so much we would literally rob the clothes clean off his back, but if Alexander reports a burglary in the next week or so, you didn’t read anything.

Rosalía is a raw hem apologist

Hot off the heels of her recent SNL performance with Bad Bunny this past weekend, Rosalía is giving us a Charlotte’s Web fantasy in this silky pink-webbed wonder. Overlocked raw hems splinter off the bias cut gown, courtesy of KES NYC, making an ordinarily messy fit all the more gorgeous. You heard it here first: raw hems will be the vibe in 2021.

Travis Scott dares to bare the flare

We appreciate ANYONE who can pull off a severe flare/dramatic duster jacket. Size in this case does matter, and the bigger (and longer) your garms are, the better. Scott pairs his elongated ensemble with a vintage utilitarian Raf Simons coat from who knows when, the ultimate designer archive flex, and an iced-out chain with beaded skeletons.

Jaden Smith invents the layered necklace

No thoughts, just Jayden Smith and his gazillion layers of necklaces. We love ‘em all – we just couldn’t deal with the major tangling catastrophe he’s about to endure…

Beyoncé’s ICYPARK brings a snowstorm to the states

Not even the most celebrated marketing genius could’ve predicted a snowstorm dropping the same week as Beyoncé’s ICYPARK collection. Like, not only can miss Knowles-Carter predict surreal weather patterns, she’ll even sort you out puffa scarves, fur coats and PVC bodysuits in every colour so you’ll be able to brave the cold in style. She really is the Mother Theresa of our time.

Xtina reigns supreme as an ’00s fashion icon

via @xtina

Xtina has long been a fashion icon, leading the style-pack with her mid-riff bearing VMA looks and fetish-laced “Dirrty” fits throughout the entirety of the 00s, she even turned it out in a Skechers campaign for god’s sake. Nearly 20 years on, not much has changed. Posing next to a mirrored-leopard statue taller than she is, the singer stunts in a deep-purple turtle neck and leather trouser combo. Dangling from her hand? It’s only a bloody Rubix cube purse. We want it NOW!
