Mouthwatering scallop shumai and Oxtail su. Prawn ball crispy noodle with eryngii mushroom. And Instagrammable firecracker-shaped desserts comprised of yuzu caramel, szechuan chantilly, roasted hazelnut, madeleine sponge and coated popping candy. If the saying is, start the year as you mean to go on, it’s only right that in trying times it’s all about treating yourself. And no one has nailed this sentiment more perfectly than Chinese dim sum teahouse Yauatcha, who are celebrating Chinese New Year with their luxurious dedicated set delivery menu.

Available to homes across London – along with rich patisseries and branded Ox face masks available for delivery nationwide – the offering is available throughout the month of February, with nods throughout to the Year of the Ox, traditionally a symbol of hard work, honesty and humility.

Elsewhere throughout the menu, expect salt and pepper quail with honey roasted golden squash and pine nut, Yauatcha’s lauded Venison puff reimagined as an Oxtail puff, noodles, and even gold-leafed dim sum.

Yes, only the finest ingredients and flavours burst forth from the menu, which also includes pineapple pastries, a zingy and fruity petit gateau – certainly the perfect gift to send to a loved one, with gorgeous limited edition pink and red packaging emblazoned with illustrations of the ox.

And it wouldn’t be a celebration without a tipple to take the edge off the uncertain year: a striking bottled pink Floating Lotus cocktail has been curated in collaboration with Ming River Baijiu – the oldest continually operating distillery in China – comprising of Belvedere vodka, amaretto, Ming River Baijiu, jasmine and berries syrup, lemon juice, pineapple juice and miraculous foam bitters.

The Chinese New Year menu will be available to homes across London via Yauatcha at Home, with all Yauatcha’s Chinese New Year 2021 patisserie and face masks available nationwide via Slerp, from 1st – 28th February 2021.
