Bringing the 2000s straight to 2021, Christian Cowan’s AW21 fashion film, presented by Motorola razr no less, is a headfuck of viral stars and socially distanced noughties royalty.
Set in the glamorous Pierre Hotel, Cowan’s scene stealers all don their fiercest glad rags as they storm through the vast space, chomping on chunky lobsters or snapping selfies on their brand new razr’s – a motif that connects all these partygoers as they jump from one room to the next.
From Rollacoaster cover star Paris Hilton and Justine Skye, to Aquaria, Parker Kit Hill and RHONY’s very own Dorinda Medley, Cowan’s body-bearing, shimmer-indulgent ethos is all about feeling good in your own skin and mustering up the confidence to do whatever you like. You want an audacious feathered hat to make the girls jealous? Get one. Are billowing purple pyjama sets your thing? Buy some! As long as you throw a little glitter on it, you’re always going to look your best.
As if that wasn’t enough, the entire sexy shabang is soundtracked by an unreleased Slayyyter song about It-girls, with proceeds from the collection going towards a now permanent fund at the Loveland Foundation, benefitting the young Black queer community in Atlanta. J’adore, j’adore, J’ADORE!
