The British fashion house launch a new pioneering initiative in collaboration with Vestiaire Collective.

Launching their new pioneering collaboration today is Alexander McQueen and Vestiaire Collective with the Brand Approved programme. Leaning towards McQueen’s growing commitment to the durability of luxury fashion, the collaboration sees a select group of clients being chosen to sell back a piece from their McQueen archive. The pieces will be assessed and authenticated by McQueen, with the client being issued a credit note for them to use in-store to purchase new items from specific McQueen stores.

The exchanged product will also be processed by Vestiaire Collective, receiving an external NFC tag allowing prospective new buyers to access all information regarding the piece. The pieces will be exclusively available on their dedicated Brand Approved page on the app and site.

With the fashion world heavily moving towards sustainability and durability, this collaboration provides a solution to the way we consume and produce fashion, allowing people to recycle old items without harming the environment.
