Alessandro Michele teams up with legendary rock-photographer Brad Elterman for the ‘Gucci Love, Love & Love’ zine.
Finally, the end of January is on the horizon. Before we know it, Valentine’s Day will be here, then Pancake Day and Easter, and at some point the clocks will go forward, finally granting us sunlight till way past 5 o’clock.
Getting ahead of the V-Day curve by at least a good fortnight, Gucci have partnered up with LA-based rock photographer Brad Elterman, one of the music scene’s best and most inspiring documenters, for a zine titled ‘Gucci Love, Love & Love’ – any guesses as to what it’s about?
Elterman’s career dates back to the seventies, meaning he’s seen, heard and done it all. In 2014, he began embarking on a new project, collating his life’s work alongside a plethora of newfound gems in a limited edition publication titled Fanzine. It wouldn’t be long until Gucci’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele became infatuated with the low-tech format, inviting Elterman to partake in a joint collaborative zine of his own.
Capturing the whimsical, candy-coloured spirit of the famed fashion house, Elterman’s portraits for ‘Gucci Love, Love & Love’ star a whole host of eclectic characters, all tasked with showcasing and celebrating the diversity of love in all of its wild form while playing dress up in some of Michele’s dazzling creations. It’s a testament to the beauty of romance, chosen families, and being able to live as your truest self.
For the enthusiasts of Gucci and Brad Elterman, a limited edition print version will be available at Gucci Garden bookstore in Florence and at Gucci Wooster in NYC from 11th February, in time for Saint Valentine’s Day, or online here.
