We’ve asked for a lot the past year, clubs reopening, a vaccine, Samantha to return for SATC reboot, but for one thing we definitely never asked for is a live-action Harry Potter series. Last night, Twitter went into overdrive with reports from numerous news outlets and blogs that HBO Max are currently holding “multiple conversations” with possible writers and producers for a spin-off series.
With the project being in its very early developmental stages, nothing has been set in stone and they are still exploring several broad ideas revolving around the iconic fantasy franchise.
HBO Max and Warner both released the statement yesterday, stating, “There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform.” Though sources have confirmed that the project is in development.
