We’ve got to give a hats off to Gucci. A few years ago we would’ve sworn blindly that bell-bottoms and garishly oversized sunnies would never make a comeback – how wrong we were. Thanks to the imagination of Alessandro Michele, the Italian fashion house effectively led the charge for 70s revival, and still continue to reimagine the past for the present.

For their latest campaign, the romantically titled Winter In The Park, Gucci go back to the basics by highlighting some of their most beloved creations: the Gucci Horsebit from 1955, featuring flourishes of equestrian-inspired double rings; 2015’s Dionysus Bag, a mythical accessory which sports a captivating double tiger-head closure; the Jackie 1961 hobo bag; and last but certainly not least, the GG Marmont soft leather matelassé bag with renowned Double G hardware, a Michele resurrection which started our 70s obsession.

And who else to model these fabulous wares than Brit Award winner Celeste, entertainment polymath Alexa Chung and actor Vanessa Kirby? The trio don a variety of fetching pieces from the House’s Epilogue collection, ranging from paisley print skirts to sequinned purple caps, emphasising not only the decades rich history of style staples, but also how exciting fashion can be when you add a bit of funk and flair. It goes without saying that we’ll take one of everything, thanks.
