It’s pretty gloomy outside with winter and lockdown having us in its grip, but still bringing the energy and good vibes is newcomer Cooper Phillip with her new euphoric pop single “Head Over Heels”. Drawing us in with a groove-filled bass line, the song quickly erupts into a feel-good party with empowering trumpets and glittering synths. Accompanied by a fun and light-hearted video, Phillip takes to the stage and gives us an impressive TikTok style dance break that immediately sets the tone for the video and is giving us K-pop vibes.

Speaking on her new single, Phillip reveals, “The single is about embracing the mistakes we make along the way to our path of ultimate knowledge. In order to move forward, we must fall down sometimes, take a few steps back in order to proceed to our life goals.”

Hailing from a small town in Russia and born into a family of accomplished classical musicians, the singer spent much of her younger years surrounded by master violin players before studying at the prestigious Moscow State Classical Academy where she becoming engrossed in jazz, ballet and harp. Years later, the singer has amassed a strong fan base and performed at some of LA’s most prestigious hot spots. With more music on the way, we’re curious to see where 2021 takes the star.
