While we might not be travelling to America any time soon with the ongoing pandemic, Eddie Murphy and director Craig Brewer are returning for another hilarious adventure. Having announced the sequel Coming 2 America last year, the story follows the newly crowned King of Zamunda Akeem (Murphy) and trusted confidant Semmi (Hall) pack their bags and return to the States upon discovering that his family might be bigger than he previously suspected. Honouring his royal father’s (James Earl Jones) dying wish to groom his son as the crown prince, the king sets off to America once again to teach his son the ways of Zamunda.

Expected to be released digitally on March 5th 2021, the film boasts an all-star cast with returning favourites Shari Headley and John Amos, as well as newcomers KiKi Layne, Wesley Snipes, Rick Ross, Davido, Teyana Taylor and Rotimi. With filming wrapped before the pandemic back in November 2019, the film was originally meant to be theatrically released in August before getting pushed back to December.
