Hulu came through for us over the last year, as they kept us preoccupied with Little Fires Everywhere and Black-ish during lockdown. And, the streaming giant promised to continue that legacy when they announced their upcoming Pam & Tommy biopic which is set to follow the high-profile relationship between Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, who will be played Rebecca star Lily James and Marvel’s very own Bucky Barnes actor Sebastian Stan.

When the news of the casting first emerged chatter was rife as TV fans speculated on how the actors would undergo the transformation into the bombshell actress and rockstar pair. But, when the first images of them donning leather outfits and tattoos and piercings galore surfaced, paired with this latest look at the stars on the set of the biopic, the chatter was put to rest. In the new pictures, the actors can be seen recreating the duo’s marriage which commenced after only knowing each other for 96 hours in 1995. Lily James sported a red latex mini dress as an open-shirt clad Sebastian Stan carried his co-star over a threshold whilst exuding all of the effortless rocker flair that we would expect from Tommy Lee in a scene of pure marital bliss.

Joining the pair for the series, Seth Rogen is set to play the man who stole the infamous sex tape, while I, Tonya director Craig Gillespie will be directing and Rob Siegel writing. While the scandalous sex tape will play a major part of the series, the 8-episode drama will also shed light on their whirlwind romance and the legal dispute that followed. Anderson and Lee are not said to be involved in Pam & Tommy, but the ex-couple are aware of the project.

So, as the gruelling wait for the release of the biopic continues, fans can enjoy the imagery of Lily James and Sebastian Stan on set in the knowledge that the production of the explosive series is well underway.
