Further expanding her vocal range with a powerful new single is Chloe Rodgers with “The Algea”. Marking her third release of the year, Rodgers’ single introduces us to pulsating strings combined with dreamy melodies, as her vocals guide us through this sweet and uplifting tune. Pulling on influences from likes of PJ Harvey and Billie Eilish, the singer’s wispy vocals has caught the attention of various tastemakers for her unique style and aesthetic.

Opening up on the release, the singer said, “‘The Algea’ is named after a group of Greek goddesses that are basically just mega depressed. I was definitely being overdramatic giving it that name. It was just about being a naive teenager looking for love but getting used by older dudes that knew exactly what they were doing”

Having released “A Delphian Lullaby” and “Faces” earlier this year, Rodgers has made use of this lockdown and developed her sound, going from strength to strength. Looking to dominate the new music wave, the singer is gearing up for 2021, and we’re curious to see what else she has in store for us.
