Times like these have proved tough for even the most resilient of us, and one artist reminding us that everything is unfolding exactly as it should be is North London rising star Mega with her hair-raising debut “Future Me”.
Taken from her six-track debut EP of the same name, the empowering track encourages us to shed the past and what no longer serves us, letting us make room for growth and happiness. Showcasing Mega’s hypnotic vocal range, the stripped-back acoustic composition reveals the bones of the singer-songwriter’s appeal: vulnerability, lyrical prowess, and soul – lots of it.
“‘Future Me’ is a letter of hope and encouragement,” explains Mega. “Often when we are having a tough time in life it is very difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s a letter and reminder to your future self that it is all worthwhile and what you are going through is contributing to the person you are becoming.”
And the visuals see Mega commanding the room with a moving live performance, accompanied by Ed Riches on guitar, Karl Abel on bass and Alex Ho on keys.
