Back with another effervescent neo-soul hit is rising singer-songwriter SK and the Kings with “Thrill”. Having spent the past few years working with her band The Kings, “Thrill” comes as a teaser from her impressive upcoming EP. Seamlessly blending elements of modern jazz with R&B, SK creates a groove-laden soundscape laced with feverish lyricism and empowering melodies.

Speaking on the uplifting track, the singer revealed, “’Thrill’ is the age-old tale of wanting something or in this case, someone, you can’t have. I wrote this song about a situation one of my girls was going through and I found her story so relatable because we’ve all been there or thereabouts at one time or another. Its her asking the person in question to make their choice. I didn’t want this to be a sad story so it’s deliberately upbeat, to show that we’re all strong enough to ask the hard questions when we’re not getting what we deserve.”

Born and raised in Luton Town, the singer grew up surrounded by a melting pot of influences that have helped shaped her innovative sound, gathering inspiration from the likes of Cleo Sol and Hiatus Kaiyote. With no set release date for her EP, be sure to keep a close eye on the singer.
