Sitting back and reflecting on her life-long mental health battle is burgeoning singer-songwriter Ryn Dean with “Exhale“. With slow-moving bass lines and euphoric powerhouse vocals, the singer takes us through an emotional ballad laced with mesmerising hand-clap melodies.

Speaking on the release, the singer said, “’Exhale’ is part diary entry, and part letter to my loved ones. The lyrics capture my years-long battle with clinical depression and demonstrate the back and forth between depression-fueled thoughts and emotions and the self-awareness and empowerment techniques developed in therapy. While I have always been very open about my depression in personal settings, I haven’t declared it to the world until creating this song. My hope is that ‘Exhale’ will help others who are battling depression (and/or other mental health conditions) to share what they are going through with loved ones who may not know how to help. I hope that the takeaway from ‘Exhale’ is that one step and one deep breath at a time, keep pushing through because it does get better.”

Having started her career writing songs at 16, the singer has gone on to create her own docuseries titled Chart Breakers, detailing the early stages of a singer’s career. With the singer working with heavyweight producers and iNTeLL’s 2nd Generation Wu-Tang, we are expecting great things from the singer in the coming months.
