Transporting us to the quarantine dance floor with their latest collaboration, is Mason Maynard and Green Velvet with “Propane”. Drawing us in with bouncy siren-like synths and a groove-laden bass line, the hypnotic track’s pounding rhythms has us ready to take centre stage at a techno-heavy rave. With the oscillating vocals whirling over the dance-heavy production, the duo’s latest track sees two generations of house talent joining forces for a bumping club anthem.
Speaking on the release, Maynard said, “It’s been a long road getting this song out & people have been hounding me constantly so I’m glad it’s finally here. Initially, I made the track and sent it to Velvet but didn’t put a name on it so he had been playing it a lot but not knowing where it came from. I followed up a couple of weeks later thinking he mustn’t have been feeling it, but it was in fact the exact opposite and from there he did what he does on the mic and here we have it… ‘Propane’.”
The duo’s latest release marks the second time the two have linked up, as Maynard and Velvet collaborated on previous hits “Got This”, and “AutoMate”. With Velvet crafting cutting edge tracks for the club for over three decades and Maynard just breaking into the scene, the match is something we never knew we needed.
