For lovers of Claro, Jakob Ogawa and Boy Pablo, comes a boundary-pushing new voice deep from the recesses of the internet – introducing bedroom-pop rising star JEZ_EBEL.

Her new track, “you’ll get over it”, crackles into life with hypnotic production flourishes paced with a lo-fi tempo before the hazy vocals of the singer – who found her opening in the Soundcloud community – imbues the melody with a storytelling layer.

Sexuality, strength and vulnerability are themes constantly explored by JEZ_EBEL, as she uses her endlessly replayable tracks to champion powerful and charismatic women.

“I wanted to show an image of a woman, that would even be wrong sometimes,” explains the artist. “A woman that would feel negative emotions. I wanted to show a woman who could be rude, but also tender and in need of love and validation. I want to show the duality in womanhood, but of course packaged in a romantic aesthetic because I am a hopeless romantic, unfortunately…”
