From the BET Award-nominated Nottingham duo Young T and Bugsey to Rollacoaster cover star Grace Carter, the UK has not disappointed in putting out top tier talent, and here to dive into their backstories is host and creator Jay London with his new series titled SEVEN.

The broadcaster and UK scene advocate has selected seven of the most exciting acts that have come out of the UK this year, and first up in his series is singer-songwriter Grace Carter. Touching upon being raised in a single-parent household and feeling neglected by her father, Carter talks us through the inspirations behind her soulful music and what lead her to becoming a contemporary R&B singer.

With her new track with Jacob Banks breaking the one million mark on YouTube earlier this week, it’s clear that this superstar in the making has a huge future ahead of her.
