With another lockdown looming, we’re making the most of the next couple days, ramming in as many experiences as possible. And one must-see on the top of our list is Cartier’s experiental installation dubbed Panthère de Cartier – which opened on 26th October.
Located in London’s iconic Harrods store, the immersive experience allows visitors to marvel and explore various rooms narrating the Panthère de Cartier story. Filled with deep emerald green hues, at first glance we are immediately thrown into the animal’s piercing eyes, and are introduced to the creator behind the iconic jewel, Jeanne Toussaint. Known herself as “La Panthère”, the trailerblazer and style icon of the 20th century is a focal point of the experience as we are taken on a journey of the creator’s creative journey.
Managing Director of Cartier Laurent Feniou spoke about the launch, stating, “It is a very special moment for the Maison to hold this Panthère de Cartier experience at Harrods. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to reconnect in person with our clients and friends of the Maison, something that I am very much looking forward to. We hope visitors will enjoy the experience of delving into this immersive Panthère universe.”
Not only does the interconnecting gallery showcase the historical context of the designer and brand, but it also opens its doors to the those who bring it to life, with celebrities such as Ella Balinska, Mariacarla Boscono, Yasmine Sabri shown throughout. Even with the store closing this week, the installation will reopen after lockdown.
