Starring alongside Sabrina Carpenter, this month actor and singer Fin Argus brought the late Zach Sobiech to our screens in new Disney+ biopic, Clouds. Based on Laura Sobiech’s memoir Fly a Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom’s Small Prayer in a Big Way and named after Zach’s viral single “Clouds”, released in the year before his death, the film is a moving exploration of the transience of life and a highly personal tribute to his own.

Covering the new issue of Man About Town, Fin catches up with Clouds director Justin Baldoni to reflect on their experience on set, opening up conversations around masculinity, new music in the works and channelling the spirit of Zach on screen.

“We were so close to the family and I was wearing Zach’s clothes, I was playing his guitar. There were times where I felt so deeply connected to Zach I felt him with me. Seeing that come to fruition is exciting, but It feels very vulnerable exposing such an intimate experience. It kind of felt like our little baby, but now letting go of that and putting it out into the world is equally as scary as it is exciting… But it’s mostly exciting.”
